Alby has a lot of stories to share with the people of the Noosa biosphere and she hopes her stories will travel far and wide, just like she did.
Noosa is one of only 14 internationally recognised Biosphere reserves in Australia, and one of only 669 such places across 120 different countries to have this recognition.
People in the Noosa Shire often ask “What is a Biosphere”? The answer can be completely shortened to one word : “US”.
Through habitat destruction and disease, our iconic national symbol for both Australia and Queensland is seriously under threat due to wild dogs and motor traffic.
The University of the Sunshine Coast are training, testing and using detection dogs for a range of research and conservation activities including Koala detection.
Sir Richard announced the creation of the Richard Branson Koala Conservancy on the heart-shaped 10ha island nestled in the Noosa River.
